With the increasing COVID cases in Nepal, China has decided to mark "a line of separation" at the summit of Mount Everest so as to prevent the confluence of Everest climbers to the Tibetian side as a precautionary measure during the expedition.
After the news of coronavirus infection cases among the trekkers in Everest base camp on the Nepal side since late April. Due to the rise of Covid cases in the Everest region, the Nepal government has planned to cancel the Sprint Mountain climbing season, usually from April to early June before the monsoon rains.
As Nepal struggles to control a COVID-19 outbreak with the increasing cases of COVID in India, China Government has decided to send a small team of Tibetian Mt. Everest Climbing Guides to the summit of Mt Everest to set a boundary line for Nepal and Tibet side.
It was not clear and they are yet not confirmed to draw a line of separation at the summit of Mt. Everest, which is only about the size of the dining table.
China has not allowed any foreigners to climb to the top of Mt Everest after the sudden outbreak of COVID19 last year concerning the outbreak of Infection from the virus. However, the world's highest summit, Mt. Everest(8848.86 m) has been continuously been scaled up from Nepal time.
