ReadmoreThe Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) has classified 27 peaks in Nepal as "trekking peaks", a misleading name because all involve some climbing. Ranging from 5849-6584m (19,185-21,596ft) some are of appropriate height and climbing grade for commercial expeditions. "Limited bureaucracy" peaks would be a better name, although since 2016 the paperwork has become more burdensome.
To climb a mountain in Nepal over 5,800m you need a permit, which means working through a Nepali trekking company. Please scroll down to see the Trekking Peak expeditions we currently offer. Our most popular Trekking Peaks are Island Peak (6,189m), Mera Peak (6,476m) and Lobuche Peak (6,119m).
Trekking Peak expedition members need to be in good shape and have some mountaineering experience. Specific skills, such as fixed rope techniques and crevasse crossing, will be covered by our experienced Sherpa guides on the walk-in and at base camp.
