Trip Overview
Nangpa la Pass and Renjo La Pass is one of the most challenging routes in the Everest region. Nangpa La pass lay between Namche Bazar and Tibet, known to Tibetan monks and traders. The most wonderful experience would be to explore this area during the end of monsoon season when flowers pop out in Nangpala, giving the trekkers the illusion that they are walking on textured carpet. It goes through Lukla-Namche Bazaar and Thame are Sherpa villages, over Renjo-La Pass and to Gokyo Ri via Gokyo. From Gokyo you cross Nagozumda Glacier to Cho-La Pass with the great Himalayas looms largest around the great 8,000-meter peak massifs of Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu. The remote valleys beneath these peaks are threaded by ancient trails. The caravan-style business, it's remoteness, the biggest glaciers in the whole of the Khumbu region and spectacular views of Mt. Everest and Mt. Cho Oyu are the spectacular features in this trek.
