Payment Procedures

A bank transfer, a credit card (Visa or MasterCard), an international telex transfer, or the online payment method on the Makalu Adventure website can all be used to make a reservation deposit. When making the payment using any of the methods mentioned, kindly follow these instructions:

1. Payment by Credit Card (Master Card or Visa Only):

Please complete the necessary details in the form including your credit card details, signature (same as in your passport & Credit Card). Please click here to download the form (PDF version) and fax it at +977-1-4417524 or email the filled form to Makalu Adventure Pvt Ltd. Your credit card will be charged by Himalayan Bank (Credit Card Division) on behalf of Makalu Adventure Pvt. Ltd.

Please never make the mistake of sending the form details directly to the Himalayan Bank. Please also send us a copy of your passport or any ID copy along with the filled form.

Note: Please note that there will be a 4% surcharge applicable when you make the payment with a credit card.

2. Payment via Wire / Bank Transfer:

Please note that we are not liable for any delay or loss of funds during the transfer process. If in the case due to use of mediator bank or any other reasons if the money received by us is less than the amount sent, you are requested upon arrival to pay the difference so that the total amount is equivalent to the actual product cost offered.

Once you have initiated the payment transfer you can then email us the bank reference number or remittance slip which will help us track the payment and acknowledge the receipt of payment into our Nepal bank account. Sometimes banks tend to forward the payment with a different name and for this reason, if you send us the reference number/remittance slips and sender’s details, it will be easy for us to keep track of the payment you sent and received into our account.
