Manaslu region is one of the perfect destinations as wilderness trekking in Nepal. The Manaslu Circuit is one of the isolated regions that has been gaining popularity as a tourist destination for the last few years. The Government of Nepal declared "The Manaslu Circuit opened for trekking" in 1991 A.D. Since then, this region is getting popular for thousands of travelers. The Manaslu region is decorated with its natural resources and cultural heritage. The most awaited monument of the Manaslu Region is Mount Manaslu. Mt. Manaslu lies in the east range of the Annapurna Himalayan Range. Independent trekkers are not allowed in Manaslu and trekkers are subject to obtain a special entry permit for Manaslu Circuit.
Travelers planning to Manaslu Circuit must obtain special permits and should be a minimum of two trekkers in a group, accompanied by a local guide. Additionally, your permit must be processed through a registered agency. Beware of the Freelance guides in the case of Manaslu Circuit Trek as they cannot issue the necessary permits for the Manaslu Circuit.
Three different permits are required for the trek, and an additional one for Tsum Valley, should you decide to merge the two treks into one big one!
The permit cost for Manaslu Trek depends on the month and number of days you will spend in this region. To trek to the Manaslu region, you will need three kinds of permits issued by the Government of Nepal.
Manaslu trek permit costs USD 70.00 for the first seven days and USD 10.00 each additional day during September to November
Manaslu trek permit costs USD 50.00 for the first 7 days and USD 7.00 each extra day from December to August.
The entry fee for SAARC Nationals is Nepali Currency 200 per person and for other Nationals is Nepali Currency 2,000 per person.
