Spanish climber Killan Jorney scales Mount Everest 'twice in a week without oxygen'

The Spaniard ascended, Single climber Kilan Jornet was able to climb the summits in the fastest known time ever. This is a speed record on the collection of iconic peaks. He left on Saturday, 22 May 2017 around 10 p.m. at an elevation of 17,600 feet and submitted around midnight on Sunday, technically finishing Monday morning. According to a statement issued by Makalu Adventure team members, Kilian Jornet has climbed the summits without using supplemental oxygen and fixed rope. Kilian Jornet has climbed Everest in a single climb at the age of 29. In 6 days’ time, Kilian Jornet has submitted twice to Everest. Kilian Jornet said, “Everest is the culmination of the Summits of his life project”. He is trying to set ascent and descent records for mountains and has culminated in a record attempt on Mount Everest.

Kilian Jornet's first attempt was at 5100m which is lower than where most mountaineers do not start. His journey starts from Rongbuk Monastery, Within 26 hours. The hardest part of the climbing was'' when I have an upset stomach because I ate something bad”. To avoid that I have stopped eating, and my energy was very low. But, the motivation of having fun while climbing the mountain keeps pushing me forward, Kilian Jornet said. He is passionate about mountain climbing and enjoys doing it. He was a blackout at an elevation of 8600m which is considered at the “Death Zone” above 7924m. Then he could not remember how he reached the Mount’s top. The next memory of him was down climbing the big face of the mountain.

Because of low energy, it takes more time, so he decided to climb Everest once again, to do it in a faster and better way if possible. Kilian Jornet has found the most miraculous aspect by doing this adventure. The second time he started his journey from Advance Base Camp (ABC) elevation at 6500m. It took him 17 hours to the summit on a very windy day. He returns to the Advance Base Camp

 

Several speed records have been established on Everest, he was named the 2014 and 2018 National Geographic Adventurer of the year and also the author of the book Run or Die. The next book written by Jornet is Summit of my Life (2017), he has written some experience of his Fastest Known Times (FKTs) and provides information about his training along with his journey. He wrote some of his Passion for the mountains, where he made his name. Jornet's set speed records on Aconcagua, Denali, Elbrus, Kilimanjaro, Mt. Blane, Mt. Everest, and the Matterhorn. He is also a talented Ski mountaineer.

The Fastest Known time record on some of the world’s peaks the new records are in his diary. Jornet has also won the champion at Ultra-Trail du Blanc (UTMB) race, and the reigning champion. The record holder at Colorado’s Hardrock 100 was also owned by him three times. He is a six-time champion of sky running World Series. He is a Spanish professional sky runner, trail runner, Ski Mountaineer, and long-distance runner. An additional 24 hours uphill skiing record is also in his bucket list. Beyond the human limits all these records.
