On 16 Sept 2020 the cabinet meeting held by the government of Nepal has declared to resume the tourism industry by allowing all the tourism activities following proper health and safety measures. Airline operators are going to be resuming domestic flights from 28th Sep 2020(Monday). A notice was issued today mentioning the rural municipality has made it mandatory for passengers traveling to the Lukla airport to possess a negative PCR report. Considering the health safety protocols, the Khumbu Pasang Lamhu municipality has also sent a letter to all the airline companies requesting them to hold only those passengers who can furnish a negative PCR report.
Domestic flights are being operated from Monday. As Lukla Airport remains the busiest airport during the tourist season, the health safety protocols are to be made into action as mandatory.
