Completion of School at Taruka Nuwakot

Makalu Adventure is proud to announce the completion of the second school for the victims of the earthquake that devastated Nepal on 25th April 2015.

The first school in partnership with Bernhard Buehler a Swiss national was completed at Arughat and handed over to the local village development if Nuwakot district on 5th December 2015. The school has a capacity of teaching 80 students. Social Service by Makalu Adventure[/caption] The second school at Badali has also been completed handed over. The second school was in partnership with Roy Francis from UK Roy Francis himself came all the way from the UK to hand over the school to the local village development.on14 February 2016. We will soon be starting the third school at Peepal Danda in collaboration with Tony Haden and Geraldine Sweeney from USA.. We estimate to educate 350 students at the primary level. The total cost for the construction of the school will be borne by Makalu Adventure, Bernhard Buehler from Switzerland, Roy Francis from the UK, Tony Arden from the UK and Geraldine Sweeney USA.

From the UK we take this opportunity to thank all our partners for their co-operation and all those who have generously contributed to the earthquake fund. We are now in the process of building a hospital, water supply to the same areas.
