After the devastating earthquake that hit Nepal on 25 April 2015.The Zhangmu border between Nepal and China was shut down as this area was also very effected by the earthquake Zhangmu, the main point through which not only did trade take place but also for clients going to Tibet for tour, expedition and trekking. The clients can now drive to Kerung via Syabrubensi and Timura to Kerung.
