Nar Phu to Mustang Trek takes you to the remote region in west. This is an adventurous trek taking you from Nar village to the semi-independent Kingdom of Upper Mustang near the Tibet border
This 22 days trek which offers a spectacular trekking into the remote Trans-Himalayan mountain area with Tibetan influence culture. The trek illustrates perfectly the beauty of the landscape in the Damodar Himal and the Kingdom of Mustang and it provides an inspiring insight into the ambiance of a typical exploration trek through these remote areas.
This fantastic trekking destination is located on the border of Tibet and with its ancient villages, age-old castles, antique palaces and Tibetan monasteries it offers the visitors a comprehensive insight into the centuries old Tibetan-Buddhist culture. The visit of Mustang is followed by a pioneer trekking over the so far seldom crossed Teri La pass (5’577m) to the hidden valleys of Tangey of the Mustang region, a new trekking on our trek through the diversified landscapes of Mustang and Nar Phu we have a chance to get in touch with the hospitable inhabitants of this Tibet like region in Nepal. Due to the severe visitor restrictions Nar Phu and Mustang remain still little frequented trekking areas with people that have so far been able to maintain their traditional way of life.
